Gallipoli Weapon Tier List (Projection Framework)
How to evaluate Gallipoli guns before full live stats exist.
Projection disclaimer
Gallipoli launches August 20, 2026 with more than fifty authentic British and Ottoman weapons and equipment options. Final damage tables, unlock order, and kit locks will shift. This Weapon Tier List is therefore a pre-launch evaluation framework and series-veteran projection — not an official ranking and not a claim that every named gun is already balanced in a public build.
Use it to understand what good looks like for each role. Pair it with Best Loadouts and the Class Tier List. Role context lives under the Classes Hub.
What “tier” means for WW1 guns
In BlackMill’s series style, weapons are rarely arcade equalizers. Weight, reload posture, suppression, and sight picture matter as much as raw kill time. A “top” gun is one that:
- Wins the ranges its class is asked to hold
- Remains usable while suppressed
- Supports Headquarters and Support Objective fights in Expedition Mode
- Does not bankrupt the squad’s ammo economy
A flashy rifle that forces you into ego peeks on Anzac sand is not S-tier just because it looks heroic.
Projected weapon bands by job
Officer rifles and carbines — clarity over novelty
Officers need a sight picture they can leave quickly to make calls. Projected “high” Officer guns are the ones with stable irons, trustworthy hip-to-ADS transitions, and enough authority to punish anyone who challenges a rally piece. Exotic long scopes are usually a downgrade because Officers should not become second Snipers. See Officer Guide.
HMG systems — lane ownership
Heavy guns score high when they can sustain fire on beach crossings and ridge lines without constant panic reloads. The best HMG setups in projection are the ones that encourage early nest placement and punish wide open rotates. If a heavy option forces you into awkward mounts that silhouette you for Snipers, treat it as situational. Context: Firepower Roles.
Sniper rifles — first-shot confidence
Sniper “tier” is about first-shot trust and reposition speed after a pick. A rifle that wins the Officer delete on Cape Helles but leaves you glued to a glowing ridge will fall in real Expedition play. Prioritize guns that let you take the shot, then abandon the rock before Stretcher Bearer hunters and counter-snipers arrive.
LMG options — mobile bursts
LMGs should feel like squad glue in Kut streets: controllable bursts, acceptable move-shoot compromise, and reloads you can finish behind a corner. Projected strong LMGs are the ones that hold a room for the Bomber entry without needing a sandbag cathedral.
Bomber explosives and close kits — secure tools
Bomber value is measured in Headquarters secures and doorway clears, not mid-map grenade memes. High-projection explosive tools are the ones that combine with Ammo Bearer support and Officer timers. If a kit looks lethal but strands you with empty pouches before the secure finishes, it drops a band.
Support sidearms and utility
Stretcher Bearers and Ammo Bearers should favor quick, forgiving secondary options that discourage scavengers during a drag or resupply. Their “tier” is mostly about not dying while doing the job — see Stretcher Bearer and Classes Overview.
Map-weighted gun advice
| Map | Projected gun emphasis | Avoid |
|---|---|---|
| Anzac | Stable mid-long rifles, HMG belts, patient sniper picks | Constant running peeks with short messy kits |
| Cape Helles | Explosives, LMGs, carbines for chokepoints | Pure ridge sniper stacks with no breach plan |
| Kut | Short-range authority, grenades, mobile LMGs | Ultra-static heavy setups with no street angle |

Economy and Ammo Bearer interaction
A weapon’s true tier includes how often it screams for resupply. Belt-fed and explosive-heavy kits rise in coordinated groups with Ammo Bearers and fall in lone-wolf queues. When you read Best Loadouts, treat Ammo Bearer presence as a hidden stat.
Practice method without full unlock lists
- Choose a class path via Class Picker or Classes Overview.
- For each kit, ask which Expedition job it serves: lane, pick, breach, or sustain escort.
- Run mental scenarios on Anzac, Cape Helles, and Kut.
- Tune visibility and audio so gunfights are readable — Settings Optimizer.
- Revisit this page after launch when concrete names and patch notes exist.
Relationship to other tier pages

What will change after launch
Expect individual named rifles, machine guns, and explosives to jump bands when community stats arrive. The framework above should remain stable: objective ranges, suppression usability, ammo tax, and map fit. If a future patch makes Expedition Momentum drain faster or slower, weapon risk tolerance will move with it — keep Expedition Mode in your reading rotation.
Until then, refuse empty “this gun is meta” claims that ignore class job and theatre. Gallipoli’s authenticity is the point; your loadout should sound like a soldier’s kit, not an esports shopping list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Why are specific weapon names limited here?
Full live unlock and balance data is not treated as final before the August 20, 2026 launch. This page teaches evaluation bands so you can place named guns quickly once lists stabilize.
Is this an official weapon ranking?
No. It is a pre-launch projection framework for WW1 series style play, not an official BlackMill ranking.
Which page gives concrete kits?
Best Loadouts packages class-and-map kits. Use this Weapon Tier List to understand why those packages prioritize certain gun jobs.
Do Ammo Bearers change weapon tiers?
Yes. Belt and explosive weapons rise sharply when Ammo Bearers are present and fall when you must self-manage every reload in a long attack.
