Gallipoli Is Out Now
August 20, 2026 launch: storefronts, discount window, and what to play first.
Gallipoli, the Ottoman Fronts entry in BlackMill Games’ WW1 Game Series, is live. Steam lists the release date as August 20, 2026, matching the rebooked window after the May delay. This page is the day-one news post: where to buy, what the introductory discount actually is, which editions exist, and which wiki pages to open before you waste tickets on Anzac sand. For the delay chronology, keep the release date page. For systems versus Isonzo, use what’s new.
This is not a patch-notes dump. At unlock, Steam still showed no user reviews in the store widget we checked, which is normal in the first hours of a niche multiplayer launch. Treat early social-media scores as noise until a real 25v25 population exists. Come back to the Updates Hub when BlackMill posts the first live balance notes.
Where Gallipoli is available
Day-one storefronts remain the set BlackMill locked in July:
- PC — Steam (app 3065940)
- PC — Epic Games Store
- PC — Microsoft Store
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
Full crossplay between PC and consoles is part of the launch promise. If your squad is mixed, read Crossplay before you buy on three different stores “just in case.” Friends-list convenience still beats a one-dollar difference.
Launch price and the 25% window
Steam’s live product page showed a $29.99 USD base price with a 25% introductory offer taking the standard edition to $22.49, with the offer labeled through September 3. Press around the August date had already cited €29.99 / $29.99 / £24.99 with a 25% launch discount; the Steam timer is the figure to trust at checkout. Regional taxes and console storefronts can differ. Always confirm the live cart.
Edition rows on Steam at launch:
- Gallipoli (base) — $29.99 → $22.49 during the intro offer
- Ottoman Empire Edition — $39.99 → $29.99
- British Empire Edition — $39.99 → $29.99
- First Expedition Edition — $49.99 → $37.49
Those bundles exist so you can pre-load cosmetic identity for one faction. They are not a hidden skill gap. Gameplay pages on this wiki — Guides, Players, Maps — stay the real prep. Deep money questions live on price & editions.
Separate Steam content rows also listed Second Expedition at $24.99, First Expedition at $19.99, several $6.99 uniform packs (Besieged, Sunburnt, Ordered to Die, Light Horse, Conscript), and a soundtrack. BlackMill’s July cosmetics blog explained the new pack model: smaller packs with two uniforms for one faction, mix-and-match across classes in a subfaction, with Officer uniforms as the usual exception. Buy cosmetics after you know you will keep playing.
What actually changed for buyers on day one
Pre-launch copy told you to wishlist. That job is done. The useful questions now are:
- Does your PC clear the Steam-listed specs? Minimum still calls for 16 GB RAM, a GTX 1660 Super / RX 5600 XT class GPU, and 30 GB with an SSD strongly recommended.
- Do your friends sit on Steam, Epic, or a console? Crossplay is the default social plan, not a later patch.
- Have you learned Expedition, or are you about to treat Gallipoli like a deathmatch? Read Expedition Mode.
- Do you know the five named theatres — Anzac Cove, Cape Helles, Ctesiphon, Kut Al Amara, and the moonlit Suez canal — or only the trailer beach?
Steam also lists 38 achievements and an in-game gore toggle. If blood is a problem at your table, disable it in settings before the first landing; the store mature-content note says gore and blood can be turned off completely.
Day-one play order (ninety minutes)
Skip the urge to main Sniper for the screenshot.
- Boot Getting Started while the install finishes. All classes, weapons, and tools are available at the start — BlackMill’s progression blog said goals sit on top of unlocked content rather than gating the roster.
- Play one bot-filled match using bots & practice so bipods and the downed state are not a surprise in a live lobby.
- Pick a support or glue role: Stretcher Bearer, Ammo Bearer, or Engineer.
- Queue a real Expedition on a landing map, then a desert map. Contrast Anzac Cove with Ctesiphon.
- Only then open the class tier list. Rankings without a sector win are vanity.
How this wiki will treat the first week
We will not invent patch numbers. We will not fake a Metacritic. The preview review page stays labeled as hands-on synthesis until a real review corpus exists. If BlackMill drops a day-one hotfix, this Updates Hub grows a focused child page that links back to the affected class and map guides.
If you arrived from a search for “is Gallipoli out,” the short answer is yes, as of August 20, 2026. Buy on the storefront your squad uses, respect the one-shot gunplay, and let Expedition tickets — not the kill feed — tell you whether the night went well.
